It certainly is difficult to project. Plenty of names on this list will never see the light of day as far as the NHL goes. In my opinion the top 10 for a team should be players that will absolutely be NHL players in some capacity.

The next 10 I find interesting to track and see what kind of ground they gain. These are the players that will find themselves in NHL games when they are 24-26 as opposed to 18-20.

The funny thing is you have Lowe at 17 and he'll probably end up in the top 5 or 6 in NHL games played. He's already probably been more important to this franchise than a bunch of guys as well.

Problem is, he isn't really viewed as a prospect and or that high level of a player.

Odd that you'd rank Safin higher than Maksimov or Rasanen higher than McPhee; your basis for these? Also, is Rodrigue just not on your list or do you rank him higher than Skinner?

Individual stats are helpful on a list like this, i.e. draft year/round, age, height, weight, previous season G, A, PTS.

Absolutely was maybe the wrong term. Put it another way teams usually hope their top 10 prospects turn into something while they become more pleasantly surprised when lower stock players jump up

It's Safin's production in the Czech U20 that makes me feel he is closer to NHL ready. Maksimov in partifuclar could skyrocket up the list if he does put up another season like he did last year. I guess you'll have to wait for 10-1 to see if Rodrigue is on the list

Spoiler he definitely is.

Should make a package around Nurse for Ellis.

We get a puckmover at a helluva deal this year with a decent extension.

NSH, well come on. Two brothers on a pairing. Nuff said
